Top Nite Out - Leeds in Spring

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Where's the Scarborough?

Try The Vic maybe?

Where's the Vic? The Scarborough is the pub that joints on to the Comfort Inn. JansenMike and I had a drinkie in there before Joseph's Well, and I shouted up to boudicca when she was staying at the CI on the top floor, from outside.

Where's the Scarborough??? And you've lived in Leeds how long? Scarborough Taps mate. Yep, that one.

If Leeds are at home, that place'll be full of them, so probably not a good idea. The good old Angel is kinda traditional, but any alehouse is fine.

Oh that one. IMO might be best avoided if Leeds are at home that day.

The Vic is about 100 yards away from the George. Do you remember the George Tim? :innocent:

Anyway, if you come out of the George's front door, turn right towards the City Centre, and when you get to a fork in the road in front of LGI, take the right fork. The Vic is about halfway down the block. (The Victoria and Commercial Inn is, I believe, its full name)

*Edit: Dave: your reply appeared while I was typing the above. Great minds... ;)

Ok, a plan is forming ...

We arrive at 12:36. Francis will meet us. Anyone else is welcome to meet at the station as well.

Off to pub for lunchtime. Can a local make a suggestion for venue so we have a general consensus?

One of Francis' famous Sissies tours for Luke and anyone else who wants to join in.

Back to Francis' gaff/food/wash and back into town for the evening.

Someone mentioned the Cockpit previously but again we're open to the local suggestion and consensus.

Some locals fill in the blanks for us foreigners please.

Danke. 8)

Leeds are playing at home on the 8th so I do recommend straying away from The Taps!!! Due to us playing at home (Plymouth. Wow. Can't wait) I will be joining the travelling heartland republic at night time.

Change of plan. Booked us into the Highgate Hotel. (Check your gmail John) Wheldrake->York->Leeds and back looks like a costly pain in the arse. I would offer to stay sober and drive, but haven't completely lost my grip on reality yet.

I was hoping something like Resurrected might be on. :notworthy:

@James: PM on its way.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

Cool Ravey.

Mine and Luke's arrival time is announced. I assume Frankie Boy is making the arrangements. He's booked the hotel, we'll do The George and Resurrection at night. Check with him re a lunchtime spot. I'm organising shit on this one. I'm as much a guest in the PRWY as Our Man From Cape Town. :P
