von's beaten us to it hasn't he?Motz wrote:Ok, so who's going to make the potentially libellous allusions to Floodland first?
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Does 2 constitute ALL? Suppose it does if that's all there's been. I have to stress the word 'Decent' & 'Band' - Vision Thingy doesn't fit the billdaggs wrote:all sisters albums since FALAA?a.r.kane wrote:I'd like to see him record with a producer, engineer and a decent band. Could you imagine what that might sound like??

There's no "band" on Floodland either if you want to go down that route.

He was told to fcuk off on the general chat board for being a troll. Whats the point in spending your time going on forums to annoy people...obviously this guy has a fairly dull lifeeastmidswhizzkid wrote:"who's that trit-trotting across my bridge? who's that trit-trotting on the water? who's that trit-trotting on the floodland?"a.r.kane wrote:I'd like to see him record with a producer, engineer and a decent band. Oh, agreed: The Corrs have about as much to do with 'folk music', as I have to do with the political situation in Peru.Badlander wrote:Please show some respect to folk music.zippy wrote:The Sisters go folk music,ha ha ha haMuppet wrote:The Corrs.
I actually do like some folky stuff, though I'm not an expert by any means.
But as I said, the videos would look nice.

They only use folk/Irish music as a gimmick. Most annoying.Muppet wrote: Oh, agreed: The Corrs have about as much to do with 'folk music', as I have to do with the political situation in Peru.

If only they could shut the f**k up, just stand there and look good.

...It's just that they already know the chords and lyrics which would save some rehearsal time.logiclust wrote:awsome!!! more sisters doing covers!thedigbertofcrank wrote: I think a pairing with Nouvelle Vague would be interesting.

are you talking about the sisters or nouvelle...thedigbertofcrank wrote: ...It's just that they already know the chords and lyrics which would save some rehearsal time.
actually, i quite like covers most of the time... My feeling is that if it is a good song, it will hold up no matter who trys to butcher it. unless it's some piece of s**t american idol band trying to cover a clash song...
that reminds me.. there was a song that Big Black did way back when and I alway thought it sounded like big black doing a cover of a song the sisters had covered, only they covered the sisters version..... I'll continue to claim that it's true, though i know it isn't.
