I'm working in Rome at the moment, so I'll try to attend that gig.
I keep looking longingly at the Italy gigs, but I've used up all of my credit and more at work. Please don't mention it again. You make a grown man cry.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.
... get another credit card

I switched this to a Rome thread (was: "spain and italy") since we did not have one yet. The threads for the Spanish gigs have posts from people going too. (Still no Milan thread, for anyone who wants to start one.)

ah, i left the church to assuage my guilt. and have no current job....Francis wrote:Credit cards aren't the problem. Holiday entitlement is. And my christian work ethic won't allow me to throw a sickie.
it gets harder to get new credit cards when you're not regularly employed though. especially when i left last job after 2 month sickie...

It says 2100 on my ticket, but that may just be when the venue opens.
Don't know about any opening act for this gig, probably none.

He sang a lot more and howled a lot less than usual, which in my opinion was a nice thing for a change, even if I like his usual style as well.
Songs with excessive howling (Flood II, Vision Thing) was absent from setlist.
Sound was really good, with Eldritch's voice clear most of the time.

Incidentally, for those complaining about the length of the show (wherever), blame your local promoters. There's a full length show price and a shortened length show price. Appears some promoters are going for the cheaper shorter option but still charging the same prices as you would expect to pay for the full version.

So maybe the complaining about that stops now....

I would certainly expect full length shows in Germany and Holland. Luxembourg .._emma_ wrote:And maybe Germany, Luxembourg and Holland are countries that can afford the longer version.
I hope.

So it's the ugly bastards that lay hidden in the shadow (aka the promoters) that are to blame, and not our dear ?Johnny M wrote:Incidentally, for those complaining about the length of the show (wherever), blame your local promoters. Good to know, and something we should tell all those misinformed angry people who think the Sissies are just being lazy.
Let's just hope Paris will be on the bright side.
I'd end this moment to be with you

I would expect The Sissies to hit the stage at 10pm, deliver a blinding two hour set before launching into a five hour Sister Ray medley which will take us through to 5am and thereby avoid all those dodgy darkling goff clubs everyone keeps mentioning.Badlander wrote:Let's just hope Paris will be on the bright side.
