hi guys....

first topic here....

I was in athens consert.....just besides iesus!!!!
I am 30 years old and i have seen SoM 2 times....i had with me my uncle!!!!...... aged 58 who is a sister fun from the early 80ies....and has seen 100 of gigs fronm many bands of course all over Europe....
enough with thje introdusing staff now....
i will tell you what was my feeling when i left the concert after a 1h and 15 min gig....
disapointment....not only because the set was to small (i dont know if they have been payed for playing so little), not only because the sound was terrible but most of all because i expected more from SoM....
For me they not an ordinary band with 10 silly songs....They have made songs 20 years ago that are consider masterpieces still nowdays....
so i expect more....i dont care if they dont play first and last, more (they never do after 92) , walk away or any other song i love...
but i would like all the song that played to be performed better....some will say it was sound problem....but they played some songs perfectly....so what happed with the other...and why they made so sort versions??? If you have an 1h and 15min set you cant play 20 songs...play 15 but play them better....I dont know....
I was very dissapointed....i expected more....
Despite all this i loved the fact i was there...I love SoM and i think better days will come .....i wish i was present 18 years ago at some extraordinary shows at Germany....
Have faith....

I 90% agree with u dear xrirap.

As I said repeatedly in this thread, the Sisters sould give much more
to the (Greek) public. I saw them twice, 1 in Athens about 10 years ago
and now in Thessaloniki. Their Athens Rizoupoli gig was far better than this one. Who cares about flood II or romeo down while jewels from the past
were left out?

I was there too, I understand your point of view... but the sound problem was due to this awfull venue that it is not for music events. the promoters should have looked for a much better venue, for start whit...
it seems that the next day it was in a theatre and the sound was stonking...

about the sorts version, is your opinion and I´ll respect it,of course, but the sisters play the songs like this from 1996... so it´s a bit lack of information, and that you were expecting a sisters gig like 15 years ago. that it is not the case!!!!

i do wish these "old guard" people would admit they don't like the Sisters as is and move on instead of bitching that the Sisters should forever do as they want.

Ok, my apologies to everyone for my lack of self-restrained and i will say this now for once and for all: you are a f**king nitwit.

And promise to not return to this discussion again.

Sincerely,
dei
Hey its you again itna, you returned after all!
OK we got your opinion, go headbang with Snub Nose and let others dream of the Sisters as they wanted them to be.
I told u before.
Its not that I (we) dislike the Sis in ANY version.
We grew up with them.
WE WANTED IT TO BE DIFFERENT.

It is something more complicated than this that you mention....
I was with xrirap there aside with his uncle and my brother. And we have the chance to talk after...
This venue is not only a point of view of "oldschool" fans and the "newbies"...
When the salaries in one country begins from 329.38 Euro per month and you are paying 40 Euro for a concert (35 pre-sale), you expect more time than 1 hour and 10 minutes live performance....
The sacrifices are not tha same in all countries you see....

you are intirely wrong....

if we didint like SoM we wouldnt go to a consert nor we will be tryind desperatly to find new songs from the internet....its something else not to be satisfied with something you see....i know what i am expecting from the new sisters...
but for sure i didnt expect a 1h and 10 min concert with such a terrible sound....
unfortunatelly i cant afford going to consert all over the world....so the only thing i can do is to go at their conserts when they decide to visit Greece ...
