Nightporters...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I quite like "Transmission". Sorta has a "shady bar in downtown Tokyo at 7pm" feel to it. Yes I visualize songs, what's your point?

There is a fairly strong Baw-hoose connection, of course, which maybe redeems them somewhat...

... although some might say Bawhoose were a bunch of simpering Nancy boys as well. :innocent:

Like a nice cup o' tea and red wine..? great on their own, but you wouldn't mix them together? ;D

Never heard Dali's car myself, kept meaning to at the height of my Murph obsession... but admittedly I did have a strong sneaking suspicion that it would be total pants.

That's a bizarre song and video.. Pete Murphy playing with a laserdisc and Mick Karn throwing it into the sea.

Not bad, though. Their method of recording (sending tapes back and forth to each other) is similar to the way Tierkreis record (I make synth and vocals, then send to the drummer, he sends the drum track back, I mix).

Our judgement is in Count Orlok's mirror. :von:

We probably owe more to Japan than Bauhaus, so no.

Transmission of.. commercial love.. :von:

But then, were it not for Suicide or Gangwar, I probably wouldn't be making the music that I do.

It's so hard to decide.

When the weak come into your realm. Do you respond and humiliate as they have you? No.

You let them gracefully walkaway.

Some peeps don't even understand than concept.

Life *shrug* but coming home. :von:

There's a memory! My first Heartland meet, horribly hung-over, watching various DVDs from where I'd fallen on JansenClone's floor. Bizarre stuff, and the first time I'd seen Pete on t'telly.

What if they walk away from you, but not from your world, John?

What if they're there, every day, continuing to humiliate you? :|
