my first tat! The new merciful release

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I think the artist did a great job considering I was a tiny bit jumpy at first- I found the outline really hurt :( But as soon as the colouring in was started it felt warm and even pleasant!
I'd been thinking about getting this done for a long time, not just as a tribute to the sisters...not really that at all...it was really supposed to be a reminder of a wonderful point in my life in which I've begun discovering alot of answers to my life questions (and all that meaningful stuff :innocent: lol)
Just thought I'd share it on here because I love it so much...the other arm is already looking abit plain though :innocent: I've heard the tattoo fever is very easy to catch...

Great Work.

I have considering having either that version of the old version for years. Maybe I will one day!

yeah, I was unsure about whether to get a tattoo for ages then after seeing the new logo in the FALAA album cover I fell in love with it. I didn't have the circle round the edge though because then the star etc would look tiny. I've seen some tattooists do a really bad job of the original merciful release, probably because it looks so free hand-like anyway.

:D Nice tatt Daggs, I've had the old logo on my right forearm for a few years now, I'll post a pic when I can find the camera lead.

yeah that would be cool, how much did it cost?

In regards to having the old on on another arm to match I was thinking of that but I don't know if i'd get the guts up to do it again, I found I suffered quite abit for the outline and the old MR is mainly outlines  It'd probably end up getting quite wobbily because of me flinching...well done for getting it done lol! But then my mum, bf and a mate say they find tattoos pleasant!
It's annoying really wanting another tattoo for the other arm but being a wimp and not liking the idea of the pain!

I went to a tattoo artist and asked the same (MR / Sisters new logo), well, the whole logo. He said that I'm too skinny - not enough room on my body for the whole artwork    ... :| :(
(Anyway, I got the old logo then.)
