The Gathering - tour cancelled

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Due to illness, the Gathering has unfortunately been forced to cancel all shows in Europe and the Netherlands scheduled between 19 April and 28 May. Anneke van Giersbergen is suffering from an obstinate bronchial and sinus infection, which has taken a turn for the worse over the past few days.
‘The band very much regrets having to take this step, but Anneke’s health will have to come first. We are consulting with promoters to try to reschedule the concerts to later this year so that tickets would remain valid, declares the band’s management. The latest recording Home was released this past weekend. So this cancellation is very unfortunate for the band as well as for their fans. The Gathering will resume touring starting in June.

Das machte viele Leute sehr wütend und wurde allenthalben als Schritt in die falsche Richtung angesehen."
