French runner beans, Florence red onions, Little Gems and Lollo Rosso lettuce. Sadly no 'Rohhhhkit', just too damn goth for me, those.
And you, fellow green-fingered Heartlanders, what's in your seed tray?

I thought this thread was going to contain a promise of a Good Time (and very possibly a police raid), when the great and the good of HL come to stay at yours...

And you know what a night in the garage involves anyway, me dear. Though I may offer tours of the vegetable patch if anyone's interested. I'm rather taken by the whole thing.
I'm sure I'm not the only green-fingered HLer, or the only one who'll own up to it.

cg: peppermint in various forms, strawberrys, lavender and something whitish which smells incredibly tasty like honey (but I dont know the english name. )
All seeded myself. No green finger though, unfortunately. I hope they survive at least a few weeks.

My daughter, Hannah (5) is growing tomatoes (rather too well for my liking!).
I am trying to improve my lawns with a tight regime of scarification, levelling and re-seeding (and then along comes a bloody hosepipe ban ). Oi you Northern type people, please send water to us water impoverished Southern sh1tes!!
I dunno about green fingers, Dave - mine are more green-tinged as more innocent plants die in my domain than do in most other people's! Especially house plants - I even kill the "buy these - these will live ANYWHERE!" ones.
Grow anywhere? Do they f**k! Dead within a week.......

I hope it's worth the effort. Last years harvest was as tiny as the nail of my small finger. Any ideas how I can make them as big as the genetically enhanced dutch ones?Planet Dave wrote: Strawberries! Wow, send some over when they're ready.

Baby Bio plant food - it worked for mine last year (well, they didn't die and I could eat them!)canon docre wrote: I hope it's worth the effort. Last years harvest was as tiny as the nail of my small finger. Any ideas how I can make them as big as the genetically enhanced dutch ones?

Of course, it's easy. Simply genetically enhance yours, using the latest genetic modification techniques. Try Ent-water.canon docre wrote:I hope it's worth the effort. My mum has stuck an avocado stone (which I believe is the seed?) into a vase of water and put it on the window sill in the kitchen, hoping to grow a plant out of it .
So you see, I'm genetically "not-all-there" .

This thread has already turned into a horticultural advice line, possibly the first such place frequented by so many g-word types and the like. Groovy work, people. May your stalks never wilt.
