Anyone going? I'm not, just thought it would be nice to have a thread for each show...

i can guarantee that nobody went to alberquerque to see the sisters on the 18th of feb.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

It was really good, though the vocals were sometimes a little spotty and heard to hear.
I'm not a die-hard fan, but I've listened to their more popular stuff...
Enjoyed the end when they played Lucretia, Vision Thing, Temple of Love...
They played First, Last and Always pretty early on... The set lists from the other recent shows look pretty much like what they played here, just a different order.
The Warlocks were OK, but a little drony and way too loud.
I know this is a s**t review, but I wanted to share the fact that I thought they rocked like crazy.

Looks like it's slowly starting to change...
Kiddo.. heh. I'm 30, so I hardly qualify, but I understand the reference. I've only been listening to the Sisters since 91 or so...
I didn't bring a camera, but I was in the front row and a girl asked me to take come pictures using her camera. I gave her my email address so hopefully she will email them to me. I'll post them if she does.
AE wore the Chicago Police jacket to start, but took that off after a while and was wearing a neon yellow Nike soccer jersey... I _think_ the badge on it said FBC. After they went offstage for a short rest, he came back out wearing a Motorhead tour shirt with the arms cut off.

Well, they did.lachert wrote:I saw on official page that Warlocks dosn't play Albuquerque...
I thought they were decent, if drony and loud. Their habit of ending every song with lots of feedback, pedal distortion, and insanely high-pitched pulsing noises is really what did my right ear in.
I should have brought earplugs, but as usual I forgot.
The bassist was also turned up so loud you could feel every note in your chest. She was cute though, and I enjoyed watching her play and sort of grind against her bass...
Two drummers is cool, but only if you really make use of what they could do with 4 sticks instead of 2, and for the most part it seemed like they were both playing the same exact stuff, and really the net result was just double volume.
They had a couple songs that were't the same open chord strummed over and over, and had some blues progression, and melodic singing. Those were the better songs. The rest were kind of like listening to the Doors' "The End" at 3000% volume for an hour. That's the closest I can describe them.

Could be. There seems to be fewer 'rabble rousers' in the set, maybe is protecting his vocal cords. No bad thing, but it may well influence the choice of appropriate acquisition from above (or indeed in) the chemists.Ocean Moves wrote:Is it me or is that the first time they havn't played 'will i dream' ?
