Album?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hi, newbie here!

Will there be a new record in the near future?

I saw the Sisters of mercy at Trägårn in Gothenburg a couple of weeks ago and they played a lot of unreleased songs that were great. I really enjoyed the show!!!

Welcome aboard.

And yes, the previous info is accurate (re: album release).

Actually, there is more detail: The album release is set for a time when the industry is no longer 'a mess'. This would coincide with the sharp drop in temperature in Hell.

Thanks for welcoming me.

I have some other questions.
Thease are the "new" old song they played in Gothenburg:
Crash and Burn
Suzanne
Summer
Slept
Romeo Down
Top nite out

Are there any decent bootlegs with them? Are there any more songs they have made after vision thing that haven't been released but played live?
And is Top nite out an instrumental song? They played it without Andrew in Gothenburg.
Hmmm.... maybe all this is in the FAQ.... oh well...

Some quick answers.

More new songs which haven't been released:

Come Together
Will I Dream?
War on Drugs

You can find a couple of bootlegs in the weeding section.. my favorite boot from the last years are Frankfurt 2003 - great sound and includes nearly all of the new songs.

Top Night Out (even called Snub Nose) is an instrumental song.

Pretty damn good !

I think he picked the best live renditions of each song. Crash and Burn is from The Docks @ Toronto and is STONKING not to mention a couple exchanging "I love yous" in the middle of it. Ace comp !!
End of line.

The next sisters album will be "GREATEST HITS VOLUME TWO"
This will feature all the independently released singles
(the old "new" songs) that will be released on pink vinyl only.

Then von will "close down the sisters" and release a solo single that features a duet with bowie!

You sure? I thought the stonking rendition of "Crash and Burn" you're speaking of was from Vegas..?

SIN is right ~ the stonking version of Crash & Burn is indeed from Vegas 2006. I thought it fitting that something from "Silver Bullet" kicked off the compilation.

Levels are all over the place, but the recordings are rather good, especially the tracks from Toronto Docks.
