Heartland oppinion on Last Rites please

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Mentioned this elsewhere but i'm curious to know how you lot rate this former Neph band.

Personally i think they RULE and his voice is closer to Eldritch than McCoy.

Only got 8 tracks of Biggy on a cd so far

i got the guided by light album. i think it's an ok album. nothing spectacular about it. i like the first song. the rest isn't very interesting. i think his voice is too low on the record.

Glad you pointed that out because I had no idea who Last Rites are/were.
Didn't know the Wright brothers were still involved in music...

Does anyone remember The Nod Corner from the Melody Maker back at the start of the nineties?
Seem to recall it as a rather amusing spoof, werein the "uver rotten bastards" trick Nod into upsetting McCoy and he has to be press ups as
punishment.
Scans anyone?
There were quite a few
Confirmation that this wasn't some bizarre dream?

Yeah 'The Nod Corner' was in Sounds.

"Drop and give me ten" was McCoys catchphrase.

I remember Wayne was in it one week, and added "five squat thrusts"

What you have to remember is that Last rites on Album is Nod on vocals, Last rites Live is Rorey who has a totally different vocal style, while they COULD be an outstainding live band they fail because they just donr have strong enough material, howeaver on CD they sound great.

Guess I'm equally sad, because that would be most appreciated.
