Amsterdam - Queensday 30th of April?
Good review, Christian.
Indeed, very nice they don't throw out people immediately after the gig. The Melkweg is a very fine place a attend a concert
I've seen and the guys in Brussels and Amsterdam and for me the Amsterdam gig was more convincing. I thougt Amsterdam would be my last of this tour, but my husband surprised me with tickets for Brussels later this month. Unless some other people, I'm certainly not tired of seeing them or hear them play the same songs all the time. You will miss them when they're gone [/b]

I went to Amsterdam and came away feeling disapointed and a bit cheated. To sum it up - the set was way too short (75 mins), there was a shortage of 'old faves', there was no banter with the audience, no support band and the best bit is tickets were £30!! Don't get me wrong, I had a good time but that was more to do with being in Amsterdam than anything the sissys did. The venue was good though, nice and intimate.
I said to my missus afterwards that they'll have to be a lot better at Leeds otherwise the home crowd won't be happy but the set list for London was exactly the same and judging by peoples comments they didn't go down too well either.
Well, here's hoping for a major change in Leeds tonite but if its the same as before I won't be bothering with Manchester. You get the feeling its all for the money and that this is the last bullet (if this is the end AE hasn't made it memorable).

After all some pic of the concert..............
And one not so clear..............
And one not so clear..............
May I take this opportunity to publicly thank dear Shadow_Smile for putting me and my worse half (yes, I've got reasons to call him so ) up for the night and driving us all the way from Rotterdam to Amsterdam the following morning? Also dear Madamme Butterfly and her better half for offering to do the same. You are one of the nicest people I've got to know at a Sisters gig.
But what the hell is with the photos? I'm absolutely bloody 100% sure that none of us looked that knackered really, it must have been something wrong with the camera!
Sorry if this should be PM, I just felt like saying a thank you in public.
As for some more gig-related review, you all know what it sounds like.
Thank God I have Krakow to look forward to - otherwise I'd be crying my eyes out now that it's over.

Christ I thought this thread had been trashed!
Thanks markfiend for your cat and doggy thingy! And indeed I hope all the "my dick is bigger than yours" is now over!
SO to spread some LOVE on this thread....
*but the hope that one day TSOM will show their presence on the South African soil still reins*....
Ok...ON TOPIC...it was a pleasure meeting you and our connection was so brief (now it seems) although a deep connection as to our love of TSOM as it does begin and will ever end with being who HE is! Saying things in public on this forum between friends is allowed and much appreciated!
You and your better evil half had me in stiches between the madness of the local lady that started singing to me again outside the venue! She forgot the lyrics (rule no. 2 of a no-go) but it was brilliant! I understood you perfectly and it was more monkey language communicating with your better half, although we understood each other perfectly!
Those photos are thanks to Jos (my better half) and honestly, I haven't drunk beer in years!!! Your stuff was wonderful!
Enjoy Krakow and think of me! We'll see each other again soon my new found friend!

After reading your words (and really far too late I'm afraid and apologize for that!) it does bring tears to my eyes as Amsterdam was the last one for me in this tour...unless *magic* happens!_emma_ wrote:Also dear Madamme Butterfly and her better half for offering to do the same. Yes, it's beginning to sound a bit like a broken record, innit? Does make you wonder if it's not the work of a single pathetic individual, doesn't it..? Hmm...

Thank you Mr. Blast!
It really was an intimate affair and with all odds against us because the f**king Queen decides to celebrate her birthday the day before, the people of A'dam were indeed chilled although this gig really missed something THAT I CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON!
Did I p*ss off just walking into sound-check?
Ben and Chris kinda gave off this body language that was "follow the boss" and I'm sure couldn't see me from that distance and indeed my better half made a photo of them that didn't come out
BUT the from the minute I landed my ass here on HL, it was A´dam where my mind will lingre....
I saw TSOM for the first time in the HMH in the smoke and mirrors tour (brilliant gig IMHO although I was expecting the long hair and was shocked to see bald)
I saw TSOM for the second time after finding HL in Tilburg which was more than words can say
I saw TSOM for the fourth time in A´dam The Silver Bullet tour (after the Paris gig of the same tour)
And still I think Holland needs More...

Agreed. Though others, who aren't just hatchet-jobbing nobs, disagree. Similarly, I've said Leeds 06 was missing something (a pulse? a gig?), whereas loads (not all) of others loved it.MadameButterfly wrote:I saw TSOM for the first time in the HMH in the smoke and mirrors tour (brilliant gig IMHO)
Opinions differ, thank god, though I don't see why people should become really defensive of Von and the boys the second someone raises an objection to a gig or whatever. I know I'm not out to hammer nails in coffins...that would be far too goth.
Anyway, seeing as this is the Amsterdam thread...hey Debs, see you next weekend

@MB: I loved the HMH gig big time and every time I listen to the excellent recording it is confirmed.

Ahhh, but Mr. Ozpat, Sir - that point wasn't necessarily directed at *you*...it was mainly for those who reside under bridges, and the like.

What I was trying to say is that it's in fact accessible for all until one of the mods shows up when some folks don't behave.

Too true! Not just the actual band/gig bit but the whole time there (with one notable exception ) passed in a blur . It was also the odd gig - a very gentle crowd but amazingly clear sound where we were standing
That was the night I decided Ben was a good idea
