Alright, Badlander, I won't use the phrase anymore. Just as it is not my intention to hurt people at a concert, it's not my intention to do so at the forum.
And nice to hear you saw Lemmy & Co. You must be deaf now like all the other headbangers.
The people in the front row, what can I say? Maybe we ought to consider installing seats? No complaints anymore about the pogo and we can all see the band in a civilized way.
Best, EH

I got my ticket on tuesday, numbered 1214. It might be going pretty fast once again...
And if you're in for ultra heavy moshing, go to a psychobilly gig. Those guys are mad!

To tell you the truth, I was only half pissed off and half pulling your leg, just to see how far you would go.Ebbhead wrote:Alright, Badlander, I won't use the phrase anymore. Just as it is not my intention to hurt people at a concert, it's not my intention to do so at the forum.
I don't know if that's such a nice thing to do.
Anyway I'm glad to see that you're a reasonable person.
Not quite, thanks to the magic of earplugs. Those who know me know I don't really have a choice anyway. And nice to hear you saw Lemmy & Co. You must be deaf now like all the other headbangers.
I'd end this moment to be with you
Through morphic oceans I'd lay here with you

I have to admit that the youth of today just don't get it. The pogo-ing I mean.
In our elden days, we started a pogo, we had our own mates standing at the edge of the circle to protect the other party-animals and we immediately stopped the pogo if someone fell down or if someone lost his glasses or wristwatch or something.
This is not so today, I have to admit. They just start milling their arms around, it's hitting, not pushing and shouldering anymore. Then again, I still feel the urge to step into a pogo when I see some assholes slamming around, with the intention to hurt instead of having fun. Last time I did that, the guy lost his footage and slided a yard or so over the floor. When he started back up, he really wanted to hit me, but the other people just pulled him away and told him off for being such a moron.
That's the real spirit of a pogo/slamdance/whatever.
A bit of respect for the people surrounding you even when it all looks like a fighting. Apart from the odd bleeding nose (only twice in my 15-year career as a slammer ), I never came out of one with injuries. Nor did the other people around me.
I saw more aggression and fighting while in a dancing or a club than on a rock/metal concert
IZ.

On an aside, I'm more annoyed by people elbowing their way as far to the front as they can, right after the intro starts.
Just come a bit earlier and take a good place up front. They are drinking beer and having a smoke up until the last sec before the gig, then they start from the back row, poking in yer ribs and stepping on yer toes, sloshing beer all over you because they have like six cups stuck above their heads, and if you are not careful, some cigarette burns as well

I'll be there with the girlfriend. She has never seen the sisters, and I sure hope the concert will be ok.
Otherwise she will never understand why I drove to Switserland a few years ago to see them live
I don't think we will be in time to drink something, since I'm working in France and will be returning after work to Brussels...

I'll probably be there in the early afternoon, being the tall guy in a white James Rays Gangwar tee (seems the most likely choice at this point )
