In the olden days AE was often the only name credited with writing a whole bunch of great songs. To me this means writing the whole song (Doktors bits the bass, guitars etc etc).
Roll forward to today and the debate about new sisters material seems to be about the two guitar doods writing some instrumental stuff for AE to drone on over in his one unique style.
what happened to AE knocking out a tune or two? didn't he do it in the first place on those old songs or has he just lost the nack??
If they mix the new material like the live shows the new album might as well be an instrumental cos von will be lost in the mix....
I always preferred the music Von wrote, more or less without exception. I think the only reason he ever got others to write music is that it often worked out quicker that way, given his prevaricating tendencies.
