I remember reading somewhere that Oasis don't want to release anymore albums, only singles.
I don't know if there's any truth or if I remembered correctly, frankly I don't care...
But scrapping albums altogether and only releasing singles... that's an idea.
How would people feel if the Sisters didn't release an album, but a steady stream of singles? I think I could do with that...

I think only crap bands play it that way, you said it yourself. (Oasis)
You make something people will like that moment and it will publish itself, if its bad people forget about it in 2 weeks. If you make a full album you know not everyone is going to like every song on it and still you have to be confident enough to release it.

The unreleased songs they play now certainly would not make a coherent album...an album, a good one at least, the way the Sisters have always done it, and all good bands, must have a unified "theme" and sound and the songs need to fit together. So if they release on album, it certainly won't be the unreleased songs we know put in order...that would be all over the place and not flow nicely at all.
That's why i think they might release a series of singles comprised of the unreleased songs we know and love. An album would become later with songs that actually fit together.
PS: Now i started thinking about it, a lot of the new songs have a "social" theme and damned if i can tell if they would fit together properly produced, just not very close to the versions they are now performed live, they'd need a lot of tinkering at least...but not all of them, and not enough of them to make a whole album of.

we've got beer and we've got fuel
There's no money in singles. Ooh-arr, Sis, are just copping out cos they're a crap albums band and too proud or embarrassed to admit it.
I don't know about you, but I reckon a few good meals might do Von no harm these days.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Just asking : can Adam actually stop Andy from recording & releasing these songs ? Does he own the copyrights ? I think that as long as you pay the royalties, it's alright.euphoria wrote:To my knowledge, only WOD, Susanne and Still CAN be released as Adam was involved in the others
I'd end this moment to be with you
Through morphic oceans I'd lay here with you

That's a very good question. I'm sure Von would have at least attempted some kind of pre-nuptial agreement as to ownership of songs, or if not, to get the ownership after Adam (spit) left.
Otherwise our best hope may be a live release of some description.

i've heared this story only in dvd-version
bands not willing to make records anymore
only dvd's with songs on them or whole concerts instead of cd's.
i really think it doesnt come to that point (or the singles in this case)
and if they do, i dont really see a problem.
Allright maybe one
personally i hate getting cd's out of my cdplayer and putting new ones in
(i guess they call it lazy-ness)
if only singles would be released, i guess there would be alot of cd-turning
happening in my cdplayer.
OR they should put more songs on singles but then
it wouldend be a single anymore...

In short, yes. Unless Andrew buys the rights to copy from Adam. This will give Andrew the licence to publish and release the songs, while giving Adam either no royalties or a much reduced percentage. If memory serves...Badlander wrote: Just asking : can Adam actually stop Andy from recording & releasing these songs ? Does he own the copyrights ? I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.
