You're all probably post-gig imbibing by now, so hope a blast was had by all! I'll expect a full report (nothing that fits on a postcard, mind you) later... ;D :von:

That has got to be the best Sisters gig I have been to for a long while - Uncle Andrew worked hard to keep us entertained - he seemed to be enjoying himself - asking people to throw cigarettes was a highlight.

We were down the front and it was relatively quiet - mainly because the onstage guitars were a bit quiet. I don't think I've ever heard AE clearly ever, so no biggie.

Crash & Burn was good, as was Alice, Suzanne was cracking, This Corrosion is fast turning into "We Are The Champions" - and I would have traded Temple of Love for Vision Thing.

I took my step-son (aged 17) and this was his first Sisters gig, and he thought it was amazing. I'm grinning.

Bloody Hell, a great gig, vocals high in the mix, & not bad volume. Andrew seemed in a good mood as well, no surprises in the set list except for the new track Still (takes a bit of getting used to - a new Sisters track)

Crash & Burn
Ribbons
Dr Jeep / Detonation Boulevard
Still
When You Don’t See me
Flood 1
(We Are The Same), Suzanne
Giving Ground
Summer
Dominion / Mother Russia
Slept
Alice
Anaconda
Romeo Down
Neverland
This Corrosion

Something Fast
Lucretia

Top Night Out
Temple of Love

A storming return to form after the Astoria gig, my faith has been restored.

Well I wish to complain... There was far to much smoke, far too many flashing-lights, the crowd were far to boisterous and what was with all the guitars and shouting???? My Velvet cape is ruined... simply ruined.....
*heh* Just jessin' Was a top gig!! Can't remember the setlist but I think it was pretty similar to Nottngham and Glasgow

The venue didn't seem as busy 2003 but what the hell! made more room fer us! (there hasn't been a great deal of advertising around Bristol to be fair) -The vocals did seem alittle quiet but I don't think that was a big issue.. Both Ben & Chris are star guitarists and Andrew seemed on top form

Shockingly enjoyable night.. Am now gonna enjoy a beer or three with a smile on my face 8)

Stunning night in Bristol. My only opportunity to see them this year, so far!

Many kudos to Dom Conway - Lovely Chap and Matthew North - A Gent :-)

The volume was just right IMHO - not too loud and VONs voice was on fine form. Obvioulsly a day off has done its job. The other two were great - Robo in particular. He reminds me. stage presence of Gary Marx.

OK the set could have been better, but Von and the boys certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves. VON was visable nearly all the gig, even with a smoke machine in the middle of the stage going like the clappers!

I would have loved to hear "Floorshow" - has that been played on this tour?

Please Please let me rest knowing that someone has recorded this gig and is going to weed it out. I know myself and Dom would be up for a copy!

Got seriously "Peed Off" with the punk couple behind me - continually shouting "Numan" and "Gary". Even if their members oh this wonderful forum they should have Shut The f**k Up!

Overall a storming gig, Vons screams were great and the boys were very entertaining. Even better than in 2003 at the same venue.

Really annoyed by the lack of "Bootleg" T-Shirts on sale post gig, a little rain never hurt anybody! I was looking forward to buying a long sleve and a T. Their loss!

On that subject does anyone have a spare "Bootleg" t- shirt - preferably with tour dates on the back. I will pay whatever!

The only "MyHeartland" T-shirt I saw was mine - not much of a turn out from HLers I see.

Knew You'd Be Pleased....

Just got in after a 390 mile round trip. What can I say, that was an excellent gig. Sound perfect (from where we were standing) band on tip top form and a ton of smoke, what more could you ask for. :D

Must check the minidiscs for the correct setlist later but the one above looks right.

Why is it when I go to Bristol I enter the city on one road and leave via another when I wanted the 1st road. Always puzzled me that... :?

@ Snowey - I know what you mean about the roads in Bristol

It took me over 3 hours to find the venue, and I only live in South Wales! It then took me only a hour an half to get home. I stopped and asked directions 4 times  to get to the venue. Even at the Police controlled entrance to Bristol Docks!

The next time they play this venue I taking the bloody train or some other F****R can drive!

BTW Was there any type of Support Band ? I have no idea!

There was no support band - even though the tickets said "Plus special guests". I think we should ask for a refund :innocent:

Agree with everything said above - an absolute corker of a gig, more than made up for the disappointment I felt after the Astoria one.
Von was loud enough and full of energy - nice bit of crowd interaction and some fantastic wails - and Ben and Chris were on top form. The Doktor was sounding well punchy too.
Was quality to bump into Andy TG - top geezer! Glad you made it home in one piece.
The only half-decent picture I got:

@ Dom Conway :notworthy:

Ditto Mate - I know you enjoyed the show after you wished "Anaconda" to be played and it was, straight after "Alice" :von:

Will I dream I guess. Even before they started playing Still, it was either WYDSM or Will I dream.

I can't really add much more than what has already been said. Good sound and performance from Von and the boys. Still sounded better, Von put a bit more life into the track than at Notts or Glasgow.

A great show and shame about the lack of audience. Upstairs closed and a fair bit of space down the front.

Here's to the next one.

Matt..

Great pics people & great to hear again that this was an improvement over the Astoria show ~ i don't want that one to be my last, so if i have enough funds i'll definitely do one of the festival shows this summer 8)
