THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
I do like More, and all the extended versions but YCBTO is just tops

Ribbons, yes, great song, - "Flowers on the Razor Wire" is a gorgeous image.
But I can't agree with the defenders of More. It was an attempt to top This Corrosion, but sadly I don't see it sitting very easily in the Sister's canon. Just too bland for me. Video's good though, definitely the Fellini parody they wanted.
You Could Be The One, however is a fantastic tongue in cheek attack on the hippie-esque nature of where goth had gone, into the Carved in Sand and Martha's Harbour territory. The Sisters were always at their best as a corrosively acerbic post punk outfit. There's no room for sentiment in Anaconda, or in the sleaze of Flood.
There are worse things than murder at the back of the mind.
YCBTO is a balls to the wall rocker, with good (ie. humurous) heavy metal lyrics, nothing more nothing less just dig it!

How can anybody dislike Ribbons, When You Don't See Me, Something Fast, Detonation Boulevard, Dr Jeep, I Was Wrong and More?
Very easily I'm afraid(apart from more).Ijust play "Floodland" or "First and last and always" or "Some girls wander by mistake".
Then I realise what a crock "Vision thing" is.
No offence, people but I really hate it!
Heh, heh. Best to try and avoid the current tour then
Mind you, they do still play "Alice"
Righty-ho. I'm off to "get my flowers pressed". Or some kip
