In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. I only really post on here but I lurk on some really quite shockingly geeky forums, including one where people post the latest updates from the world of palaeontology. (And they're proper palaeontologists, out there digging up the fossils )

Meh. It annoys me that. If Ross is supposed to be a fcuking palaeontologist, how come he never goes on any digs?
Also, this morning's episode on CH4 he was talking about dinosaurs, but at other times you see him farting about with hominid reconstructions. No one palaeontologist would cover both areas; they specialise.
The best fossils at the moment are coming out of China (bird-dinosaurs, about 100 million years old), Greenland and northern Canada (fish-amphibians, about 370 million years old) whereas the early hominids are all in Africa. And only four million years old, tops.

As for other forums, one or two occasional visits here and there. I like the sound of blackmetal.co.uk, though I can well imagine it being full of tossers. Apart from Libs of course.
