Think it's a common problem with boards, noticed it elsewhere too. When the first post of a new post is deleted the page remains in existance though you can't get it on your screen anymore. :)

Can someone tell me what a torbojugend/turboguy/turbonegro is? I see the term pop up here a lot and don't know what it means and what it has to do with The Sisters (if anything). Thanks.

Can someone tell me what a torbojugend/turboguy/turbonegro is?
Turbonegro - the best band in the world! Sleazy Norwegian denim-clad Vikings singing about gay sailor sex, rocking against a**e, having erections, trains of flesh, getting it on and baking pizzas!

Turbojugend - Kiss had the Army, Turbonegro has the Navy! Worldwide Turbonegro fan-club with thousands of chapter. Every Jugend has a denim jacket with their Chapter name (apart from me - the only jugend in the world with leather jacket., ha!), we meet few times a year in
Hamburg, for heavy drinking, gay sex and partying until Fischmarkt!

Turboguy - term invented by Ozpat ;-) You should ask him!

well... not much. But there are at least 2 The Sisters fans here who like Turbonegro- me and Obviousman. And Turbonegro headlined the St Pauli charity gig where Eldritch played bass with New Model Army guys... That's it I think! :twisted:

Well, thank you very much for the explanation. I'm very sorry to have taken this thread so far off topic. Had I known I would have posted my question elsewhere... Anyway, Turbonegro is - at best - the second best band in the world. So says I, and I reckon quite a few on this list would agree with me. :wink: I shall have to investigate this Turbonegro phenomenon. Incidentally, are all Turbojugend gay then? Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled programming. Nottingham was it?[/b]
