Who is this man?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I think the pic is from Birmingham Fantasy Club. Has anyone ever been, and might recognise the decor?
Didn't he shave off the beard before the U.S. tour?

Yeah the doppelganger stories :) Cool pic. Always suprised when the neo goths (sorry) and press fell over Andrew's "Dominion" beard while in fact he already had one. There's the other cool one after the break up era Sisterhood with Eldritch sporting a very dirty and very long (black though!) beard. Talking of coming undone ;>

Yeah I like that book with clippings. I also still have stashed away some 87-92 era clipping, Select, Vox, NME etc..A memory never to be parted with.

This photo is taken at the gig in LA Alexandria Hotel 29/10/83. I have a copy from the guy who took the photo.

I love the Sisterhood era beard. It's like he grew it for a bet!!!

Actually, I'm pretty certain that the NME used this pic for a review of the Guildford gig on the Black October tour.... if my memory serves me correctly, which it probably doesn't? Of course, that doesn't mean the photo is actually from that gig...

Thanks for the info! I've always wondered where it was taken.. I always thought it was Paradiso 28/08/83.

..and when I think about it I think he had beard in Stockholm 83 as well. From what I've heard (I was too young by then ;)).
