bass guitar

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I noticed in Leeds that Chris played bass on a couple too. Dominion for one, I can't remember the other. Maybe Never Land?

Chris ?! It's supposed to be Ben AFAIK, and he plays bass on Romeo down, Never land, I was wrong... but certainly not Dominion. Or did I miss something ?
As for Chris, he does play acoustic guitar on some tracks, including Slept.

Yes, Ben played bass on a couple, but so did Chris.

Maybe they're just about to hire a full time bass player. :innocent: :von:

:notworthy: I like the idea too, but I am not paying the salaries.

I also would have suggested James, but apparently he gets plastered during Never Land, which may be an inconvenience. :innocent:

I would welcome a bass player. Someone new and fresh. With a lot of stageprescence. Someone who could move around a bit more than Von, ben and chris do.

Umm..Rofo.. They DO jump around a lot. Remember, this is not a boygroup with emphasis on coreographies and collecting teenie underwear*, this is a hard rocking REAL band. When they are on stage, they have to look after their instruments, every now and then. (A quote from the Sissie`s homepage comes to my mind: "If you want to see juggling, go and watch clowns")
Their expressive and impressing lightshow is quite a lot for watching, I think.
In my oppinion Ben and Chris do a great job. needless to mention Andrew, who has allways done. If not, we wouldn`t be around here, would we?

*the status of non-teenie underwear collections is beyond my knowledge :innocent: ;D

Edited for typo correction

I do think that ben, chris and von do a excellent job on stage. But the three of them, mostly von ofcourse, are sometimes tied to singing. I just ment that it would be nice to see a fourth person having his way up there and I'm personally not that very fond of the synth-bass (or whatever it is called). And yes, they are a real band in my opinion too. Nothing fake about them, all rock 'n roll!!!!!!!
