Haven't been on here for ages due to various bits of life stress. Probably won't be back in a hurry either due to more big changes on the way.
But for those who remember me from the distant past, and care, I'm being made redundant from my job, pocketing a moderately sized cheque and buggering off to Russia.
I'm re-training as an EFL teacher next month and looking for work in Moscow in the new academic year.
To be honest, it feels great. A real weight off the shoulders and a sense of re-taking control of my life again after spending far too long in an environment where I wasn't happy. I'd recommend it to any people who feel there's something they'd rather be doing with their lives.
And, if you're lucky enough to enjoy what you're doing, make the most of it! Millions will envy you.
All the best!

Hello Andy, I remember you and care. Lots of luck and good things wished for you on your next step in life.
I don't like saying goodbye, so until you log on in the future, make the most of it, like I'm sure you will and enjoy!

Being brave is coming home at 2am half drunk, smelling of perfume, climbing into bed, slapping the wife on the arse and saying,"right fatty, you're next!!"

Good luck, Andy - and I hear you, man. I've been going through the same s**t for quite some time now. Only difference is, I don't *quite* have the guts at the moment to "bugger off to Russia". But I feel some massive impending change coming...

I do remember you, andy.
Good luck in old good Russia.
Went to Moscow my self 20 years ago. Didn't like it then, but it has changed.

Either you'll miss Southend too much and be back home in a couple of months?! or you'll pick up a nice Russian woman and never return home again?
If you remember keep HL informed how you're getting on in Russia. We could always come out and visit you for a long weekend!

Respect man.
Working yourself up to do that kinda thing can be the hardest thing in the world, but actually doing it once you get to there is just so so easy and natural.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
