March Violets May Live Again!!!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

For those of you with an interest in the Violets, I have heard that Simon D and Tom Ashton are currently working on new March Violets material. :D

It's early days but one the 80's finest post punk outfits may get to breathe again. :notworthy:

I say good luck to them, and hope I haven't jinxed anything by posting this :innocent:  :innocent:

That'll be one to look out for :notworthy:

It'll be nice to be able to look forward to an album for once. Not many of my preferred genre do that now

tom's been keen to get stuff going for a while but was trying in vain to get si on-board...

however, they hooked up while si was with the sisters, stateside, and i gather had a rather nice chat :) :notworthy:

before they set off for the us tour i asked si about it and he said he wasn't massively interested, citing that he had his own stuff going on as his main reason. its possible that pride was also another reason - and maybe seeing tom fact to face after all these years has allowed them to put it behind them :?:

fab :D

i also seem to recall that the rest of the band were also interested (ie: rosie and loz)

@ bananacamel: i see you're a mamber over on the MV website - feel free to post any info you have on the forum there ;)

Yeah, I've left a couple of posts on the MV forum, but seems fairly inactive. :|

Figured most of the same people were on both so thought I'd post it here. :) Hope no one minds.

I've been meaning to ask about weeding MV gigs, I've got a couple (4) I'd be happy to share, and all the peel sessions etc. 8)

If there is a demand and if fellow weeders will allow MV in, I'd be happy to start a few threads :D

Statues slowly click their fingers
Catch the beat and born again
East is west and west is east
Follow me into the garden

Yeah, it only works though, if there is a good deal of interest, and everyone shares. Not sure there's enough activity :!:

What do you think :?:

Don't know really :urff: , suppose you'll have to give it a go and see :?: , I've got a really good quality Radio interview plus Live session tracks that I could offer and swap with you, just to get the ball rolling, so to speak.
