***Media Alert-Julian Cope on Freakzone Krautrock Special***

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

If needs must Z, I'll stick it on a VHS, maybe Herr Fiend will be kind enough to convert it to a CD or 2.

start and stop with Kilimanjaro by (the most excellently named) The Teardrop Explodes

I'll put it in with the Bauhaus package, if I ever get round to it.

yer just biased......

Leper Skin is a good place to start as it has a selection from 1986-88 and then 1991/2

It totally avoids the Teardrop mularky ;) but just gives you a snippet of where he was at during those years...saying that I don't really think ANY of us know exactly where he was at

There's a lot for you to listen to as he's made over 39 albums (with various collaborations). His newer stuff is a return to thumpity, s**t wracknroll - which isn't a bad thing.

There's a few audio clips on here

http://www.headheritage.co.uk/discography/

He is one of the BEST live performers I have EVER EVER seen. For non-fans though, it's the bits inbetween his songs that makes each gig unforgettable.

I make no bones I AM biased. I adore the man and will forgive him anything - even Reynard The Fox ;)

The Dark Orgasm album was a great return to form from the archdruid.
It is quite a large back catalogue of stuff he has produced, some of it good, some of it awesome, and some of it :urff:
.....and as for Reynard....totally awesome live :D :notworthy:

It can get VERY tiresome live, when he goes on one of his little rages....like it lasted about 20 mins in Bristol....coz remember, the only bit people really like is the chorus.
