As a Scottish burd, I can assure you that any impression of warmth, friendliness or trustworthiness you get when I speak to you (AYE FUCKIN' RIGHT! :lol: ), is entirely false and should be disregarded immediately, as I'm probably only a matter of seconds away from STABBING you! :twisted:

I think accents from the east of Scotland, or the Highlands, are probably more likely to be viewed in this way. They're softer and more lilting... the Glasgow accent's harsher and more aggressive sounding - Glaswegians just sound like the bunch of impoverished, violent criminals they are.
(I can say that by the way, hailing as I do from East Dumbartonshire! :P ;D :innocent: )

It's always easier on the outside, looking in. I'm sure you'd never stoop to smashing a pint and ramming it in someone's face, or nutting someone for looking at yer pint, eh?
You're quite right about the accent though; I guess all these girls I speak to (ooh, listen to me!) must be from either your end of town, or outside, as they all have lovely voices. :notworthy:
