Never forget...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

:( Yep. I remember a couple of cool HL'ers keeping me calm whilst I sat in an office 5 minutes from Aldgate not knowing what the hell was going on.

You know who you are and who I was then. Thanks.

I think even I remember that... there was someone near the attacks we were all worried about...

A very scary day in London. When the phone lines went down my only communication was via HL. Later on as people tried to find thier way home the atmosphere was almost surreal but you could sense the spirit of London. Beaten but not bowed.

Friendships forged with strangers that day, that exist to this day.

My thoughts are with those who never made it home. :(

The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

We were perfectly safe but it's one of the worst atmospheres I can remember being in - just having no idea of what was actually happening and sat watching people staggering down the road covered in soot crying.

As Johnny said - no communication except HL.

I liked how they didn't all sit about crying and getting scared, but just went back to school/work the next day, determined to not let it get the better of them.

I felt totally on a different planet from what was going on, until I read Johnnys' posts that day - very moving.

I used to live near Aldgate (before the attacks). Anybody in London could have been a victim, so it was the first time an event like this seemed so close. :(
