Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

Can any of you young things of a city centre going nature suggest of a room in a public lounge bar that we can rent out for the evening with a sound system, just to ensure a better soundtrack than we normally suffer?

"Mono" round the corner from the 13th note (where the 2nd ever meet took place in late spring/early summer last year) is very eclectic, they had a full samba band on a very tiny stage a few weeks agoJames Blast wrote:Can any of you young things of a city centre going nature suggest of a room in a public lounge bar that we can rent out for the evening with a sound system, just to ensure a better soundtrack than we normally suffer?

Thankee Dave+Padraig I'll have a look into that, seems like this could add a wee surcharge, so I'll need a heid count and I shall of course take care of the ticket design.Pat wrote:What about downstairs at The Solid Rock Cafe in Hope St. The SLF forum held their pre gig meet there. Music was good all night and completely different from upstairs.?

My darling cousin has decided her silver wedding anniversary is on 26th August. As I can hardly expect people to rearrange the date, I'll have to either turn up at our do very late and already pissed (hoping there are still people there), or else skive the wedding anniversary altoghether, which probably won't be a popular move. Damnit!
