is easy to make something from that eldritch acapella stuff, "stop dragging my heart around" or "knocking on heaven's door". i even do once the reggae version of "knockin..." in fruity loop but it is awful...
back to 1969, did you seperate vocal from piano, it is in that stereo? or it is just a feeling?
1959 - a chillout remix for this summer...

Nope, the song is used in its whole. I tried separating them with phase inversion, but it dulls the quality of both piano and vocals. And there is no need to split them, when all I do is add stuff to it
I doubled the piano intro, IIRC, that's all that is altered compared to the original tune.
And I did some stereo imaging on the thing, too. Because it sounded too 'in the middle'

I've just listened to the remix of 1959, and I don't quite know how to say this, but it's infinitely better than the original.
Excellent work - I will now be putting this in my floodland playlist replacing the unfinished 1959 from it's spot. If Andrew is listening/reading, he could also do a lot worse than steal this idea wholesale, as I could see this working live in the current sisters repetoire, a la Something Fast.
All it would require is one person to play keyboards, with the doctor handling strings and beats and the other to play bass.
Seriously.
And it's not like he has many songs from the back catalogue he can trot out that would fit in with what he's up to now that he hasn't used.
