HIM temple of love cover

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I've just heard a rumour that Ville Valo et al has done a cover of Temple of Love. Has any one heard it? Is it even worth commenting on?! I kinda liked their first few albums but gave up on them after that (became far far to samey, and wet!)- when did they do this cover?
Is this the place I used to know as Fatherland?

the only reason goths (usually wee goth girlies!) like them is because yer man wears skinny tees, eyeliner and frock coats

and bobble hats ffs :o

if he didnt look like a mutated extra from the 1983 edition of just 17, HIM's brand of OTT nonsensical soft rock drivvle wouldnt get a second listen

sometimes he doesn't wear anything much, and he does have pretty eyes. but that's about it.

there's a LOT of slash written about him, ville, i mean, not HIM.

I've actually seen HIM live.

But I do have the excuse that it was at Donington last year. It was funny; all the teenygoths wandering around in a field, having the p!ss taken out of them by the proper metalheads.

I thought they supported the sisters a few years back - may explain the cover.

MAKE IT STOP!!!
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I loved their cover of "Wicked Game", I think their cover of "Temple of Love" will be fantastic as the singer has beautiful eyes and the guitarist has excellent hair.
Yes I've seen them live , pub goth at it's best.

Only as long as he's wearing the make up though.
:urff:
I recall reading an article in some Polish music magazine a few years ago when HIM was a novelty. The author was sure that this guy, what's his name, Ville?, would become a new Andrew Eldritch for the younger goths.
 I'm curious what s/he'd write now that the poor thing has to resort to covering TOL?
