...I'll never forget passing thousands of Queen fans that were going to see them at St James' Park in Newcastle, as we scuttled in the opposite direction to the Studio to see Fuzzbox.
They were s**t, but we had a better laugh!!

I too adhere to Ramone's golden utopia of a world full of cuddly friendly non snobby arty farty poncey London type gothiques. Ramone is a great Ambassador for this cause - and I personally feel we should move to construct a London Gothique state - similiar to what Israel became after the war.
Imagine that, an entire state that could accomodate all these black lace clad mime artist looking emaciated nob jockeys once and for all. And then, now and then we could go in and persecute them all for our own amusement. I think we should call it Camden! Stupid name I know, and they could house a market full of designer goth wear for the more narsistic of them.
An entire suburb where the sky is perpetually dark and the only comforts allowed arel Anne Rice books and Alien Sex Fiend CD's, where all the walls are painted purple or black and the only drink sold is cider and black or 'larger top' (a shandy you ponces!!) in half pint glasses and people can sit in dark corners and drink through straws.
A place where, if you by accident found yourself, you'd spend most of the time trying to work out indeed 'which one of those freaks is actually a girl' ?
This is surely a nigntmare compared to my scraggy haired utopia of yester years - but could ti become a reality, again? Sad to say, not in my life time.
One last thought - you never EVER find some one who admits to being one of these cross dressing wankers do you!! Saying that, would you want your kids to know this sad part of your life? Thought not.
God bless you Ramone

Is that someone else posting under Ramone's account, or have you suddenly forgotten who you are?

With you all the way Ramone. If you think London's bad,try a trip to Whitby.Actually it ain't a bad weekend as long as you stay well clear of the place they have the bands:A pose fest of epic proportions. The worse thing is hardly any of the tossers bother going to see the bands, they prefer to stand around in the foyer preening and having their photos taken by even bigger twats who actually think that's what goth is about.
I am a stern advocate for the return of the punk-goth early 80's look and am pleased to see the return of black stretch canvas jeans at a reasonable price. At least we can thank Emos for something.

If they sold tickets for the bands and tickets for poncing about in the foyer - the latter would sell out in minutes!
If I wanted to have someone look down their nose at me for not paying silly money for the clothes I'm wearing, I'd visit my sister. At least I can tell her where to stuff it

Rule one of goth: All goths other than your immediate circle are not proper goths and must be bitched about within your circle.

Being brave is coming home at 2am half drunk, smelling of perfume, climbing into bed, slapping the wife on the arse and saying,"right fatty, you're next!!"

Incidently when I was in the above shop I was admiring bullet belts until the wife dragged me away saying something to do with dignity and a man of my age.
