Bands that should.......

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'm not so sure about the "blowing up" bit, cos it would mean that they wouldn't get to experience the s--- for all of eternity.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I already disagree with half you said... ;)

Cradle are an OK band, only their Sisters-NTTC cover was bad. And a bit of overacting, but they are very good IMO.

I can agree whole-heartedly with Scotty tho...

* Coldplay (although with THEM in the van, there will be no place to shovel MORE s**t in)

* The Magic Numbers (hippie inbreeds First Class to the Moon)

* Muse (used to like their style but the last 'effort' is utter bollox)

* Franz Ferdinand, Kaizer Chiefs and other wannabe-Beatles inpersonators (there's only ONE real Beatle left and she eats you for breakfast, arseholes)

* James Blunt (should of better stolen his helmet and shot his heid off back in Kosovo, as far as I care. Piece of whining puppie...)

* R&B s**t: the LOT of 'em, no exception! Only En Vogue and Atomic Kitten may stay, coz' they are real lookers. All the other fur-wearing, golden-chain-laden, granny-sunglasses-donning, dissing-each-other-dumb-and-blind yo-yo buttwipes can keep right off the damn screen and radio. Posers. Flavor Flav puts his alarm clock right in tha' booty and sets it for two minutes to midnight. Shake that, FFS.

* Apop, Xymox and Covenant-crap. All those new synthpop rugmunchers (I learned a new word! Yay!) are even gayer than Modern Talking doing the Soca Dance in Giraffe-colored Spandex during the Berlin Love Parade. Bugger off. Grow a neck carpet and strangle yourself with it. Even better, grow it longer and take your buddies with you.

And I'm in a really good mood today, mind.

Covenant?

Tsk, tsk.. one of the first vaguely dark synth bands I heard.. their song "Afterhours" makes the Sisters' own composition seem like turgid nonsense.

A van full of sh-t is too good for the likes of Coldplay and M People.

The first name to pop into my mind here was
Scorpions (Maybe delay the detonation to let them feel what it is like getting s**t thrown at you).
Them R´n´B fools, the prodedure of filling the van with s**t may be unefective here, just stuff as many of them in as you manage, and boom it goes. Rappers next. That should be good for starters.

The real beauty here is that you won't need to fill it full of sh-t - it already will be!

Okay, Change of plan: Some of the R´n`B female singers are quite nice to look at. You´ll get a few camels for them in Arabia. Sell them there. Some of the male would make up the choiciest castrates, their voices wouldn´t even be affected. Might be some money in there, too. As long as they stop singing..

Make Coldplay History. Phase 2 of the make poverty history campaign, continuing to make the future a better place for the children.

Now as for this
Apop, Xymox and Covenant-crap.

Come on, thats a bit silly. Have you even heard the VOLUMES of QUALITY music that comes out of the EBM/synthpop scene? It has some the same issues goth has (I bet as many electronic bands have ripped off vnv as goth bands have the sisters) but all genres have chaff and grain. But seriously I think you are wrong there. I am friends with many hardline goth ebm-bashers and I just don't get it.

I own nearly everything apop have put out, as well as vnv and lots of covenant...if you want some recomendations on GOOD synth then give me a nod, but you seem to have made your decision. Oh well...

Hmm, the only band that have made me react so negativley that I got angry was the streets. The newer stuff...all that my god your fit nonsence. Luckily that crap hasn't assailed my ears in ages now, and long may it remain so.

ps, I like the new muse album, different angle on the same sound, interesting and refreshing.
pps, I got an angry email from a friend of mine (who happens to be a techno fan) bitching about those retards of panic at the disco listing themselves as emo techno on myspace. I still don't get how adding a keyboard player to your lineup, and mixing mindless emo rubbish with boring and unimpressive pop makes you different, special or techno.
Nationalise the f**king lot.
