Bands that should.......

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Anyone remember EMF? I wish I didn't...

No.

And believe me, I listen to EVERYTHING. I just can't listen to these frituurpop-bands. They sound cack, the lot of them. Although I have to say Covenant has some nice tunes and a good look on stage.

Apop is just plain poppy dancy tunes, and I liked A-ha better when THEY did that.

I tried, but sorry. Just like there will be some R'n'B bands that will float my boat, but my life is too short to fish around in the dumptruck that is R'n'B just to find that small hidden gem.

Oh, and BTW, I have naught against EBM. That's good enough. But synthpop is a different genre altogether IMO...

I do think there's a place for "Good" Pop music, he's had few good pop songs, my mate went, well, when I say "went" I really mean dragged by his pubes to a Robbie gig in Switzerland, he recons it was a great show, and he feckin hates him  .
People like Robbie Williams, Sugababes, Girls Aloud, Atomic Kitten (natch ;D ) get youngsters into music in the first instance, they get Kids "turned on" to Music, most will go on to develop different, wider and more diverse tastes, but it will ( in most kids life's I believe) be with the easily accessible, throw away Pop acts that grab the imagination of millions of future gig goers, record buyers and possible Musicians :)
