sisters go accoustic

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

e----------------|----------------|--------------|-----------------|
B----------------|----------------|--------------|-----------------|

There's loads over on http://www.azchords.com/s/sistersofmercy-3596.html but beware of pop-ups.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I'm with ya. Try this for starters:

Code: Select all

Chorus: Cm Eb Cm Eb
       Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene,
            Eb Cm
I'm begging of you please don't take my man.
          Cm Eb Cm Eb
       Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene,
          Eb Cm
Please don't take him just because you can.

The verse is just: Cm,Eb,Bb,Cm,Bb,Bb,Am,Am,Am,Am for a bar each.
Although if I can play the above (Lights), surely anyone can?

Em G D

And finally!!!

Code: Select all

(A) (C) (G) (B)
counting the days in the haze around you
(A) (C) (G) (B)
Susanne on the wall

Chorus:

D C
no pain, summer rain
Bb G A
I'm lost for stupid again
D C
we are the same
Bb G Em
give it a name Susanne

counting the days in the haze around you
Susanne let the ether fall
out of phase, I am all around you
Susanne on the wall

no pain, summer rain
I'm lost for stupid again
we are the same
give it a name Susanne
All of these are from the link I posted above. It's got a mixture of both styles. If you wanna learn riffs, I couldn't recommend Lights more. Simple, 1 string, not much finger movement. Valentine is also good and easy.

A bit dark, to be honest, but if you play on e instead of E it brightens up a good bit.
