help me........
i activate a java applet (showing panoramic pictures) on the desktop pc and it loads and gives me the option to choose a view.
when using the same web page on the laptop , the java applet starts , but no choice drop down menue appears.although you can just make out where it was meant to be.even though it says in the text box to choose a view......
i take it to mean i need to change a seeting somewhere on the laptop.
but which one ?
thanks in advance

could be different versions of the java runtime ("jre")
one of your PCs could be using sun's jre, and one could be using the default MS one (which is cack)
have a look here, and update both to the latest sun jre
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
you probably want the second one - "Windows (Offline Installation)" - that will give you a setup exe you can run then on both PCs without having to download it twice
applets. brrr

we might need to make an application as the most northerly members of heartland.(moving to the okney islands(or bloody well trying to, if we can get past this strange house buying ritual in scotland)
