When I listen to George Galloway speak I often completely forget he fact that I often agree with what he's saying, at least for the most part, because of the ridiculous polemics he uses to get his point across. It's like listening to the Iraqi Information Minister - "Comical Ali", remember him?

Whereas Al-Sahaf was pathologically in denial, Galloway seems to be one of the few people left who's got even the slightest grip on reality and the brass ones to put it on display. This clip made a refreshing change from the usual BS routinely relayed by Sky/CNN/what-have-you.

He is a w@nker, but that is a fantastic interview

"Have a slightly longer memory than 4 weeks!"
Have a slightly longer memory than two decades, and lets talk about the unprovoked attempt to destroy Israel in 1948, of which Lebanon was a willing part of. No mention of the unprovoked attacks against Israeli civilians by the PLO based in south Lebanon causing both Israeli-Lebanese conflicts, either.
He's as guilty of selective memory as anyone he criticises.
Out of curiosity, for those of you who know:
If in the future, Scotland declares independence, will Galloway remain eligible to sit as a Member of Parliament for an English constituency?

"The Hizbullah are a part of the national resistance who are trying to drive, having successfully driven most Israelis from their land in 2000, Israel from the rest of their land and to get back those thousands of Lebanese prisoners who were kidnapped by Israel under the terms of their illegal occupation of Lebanon."
Yeah right George. I salute your indefatigability, but Israel had completely withdrawn from Lebanon, but Hezbollah was still lobbing rockets into Israel.
I don't think Israel has done itself any favours with this massive (over-re-) action in Lebanon; the long shot will probably be to drive public opinion in the Arab-Muslim world even further against Israel. But what do you expect Israel to do? Let themselves be "pushed into the sea"?
Some people are so keen to see the US and Israel as the "bad guys" that they'll forgive the Arab-Muslim extremists virtually enything.

The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Five decades ago, the UN helped establish the state of Israel. In 2006, Israel deliberately bombs the hell out of UN peacekeeping troops. Nice going, Israel! Let's just say they won't be winning any PR contests soon.DeWinter wrote:"Have a slightly longer memory than 4 weeks!"
