Cover of Lucretia

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

As stated elsewhere:

The singer is dressed nicely.

Shame the performance is a load of arse. What the hell is that guitar doing? :urff:

I've done better, a lot better, than that.

I hope the rest of their gig wasn't as dire.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

They'll get better with practice, they should stick at it.
Hint for the guitarist-- tune up and you can also play bar chords on the A string.

I vote for Option 4:
This Emo-Kid makes me wanna cry on how soulless and lifeless a cover can be performed.

I think essential for a good cover is that you make the song yours. Not so much bowing to your idols, but rather make the listener forget that someone else has ever sung that song. For reference clicky.

I don't particularly mind it.

I might even dance to it after a few pints.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

NOT only they need to be punished, they also deserve worse: a tongue kiss from That Guitarist while he tells fairy tales - ah no, they will like that...

maybe, they deserve it to be the support act of The Sisters, look who's laughing THEN... he he.. .

Or maybe they should be locked in a room & made to listen to their sins on a looped tape.

I wonder if Brittany Spears fans would react as passionately if they heard this?

Is there a forum?
Would be quite funny to put this up there & watch the fallout.
Cheers.

*WHY* do amateur bands exist? Why can't there only be pro's without the obvious loser-never-gonna-make-it-nitwits?

would make it so much easier for me.

Like there would've been only adults and no kids.

No, but you have to wade through oceans of sh*t to find a nugget of something decent. The great thing about being able to post music on the Internet is that anyone can do it.

The downside of being able to post music on the Internet is that anyone can do it.
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

A very eerie example of a "professional amateur band" is Carbon / Sillicon. By tony james (you know it) and Mick Jones of The Clash Image

Because in both cases, you must start life as the less desirable before evolving to the preferred state :von:

Of course. The decent ones don't make effluent. They make music.
