The Cult

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

London? Where's that??

Who's off to the Leeds gig? R&R, Big Norm, Weebleswooble, me. Anyone else stupid enough to pay money to watch a band way past their best?

Oi, Sinister! Come to the gig and we'll call it your 'Welcome To Leeds' night out too. Wear the boots and the coat and you'll go home with a dreamy yet confused look on yer face. But not the belt. I'll be going home with that.

What date in September is the gig?

23rd. Sorted, cricket finishes the week before. 8) Drydock for 6 again then chaps. :P

Just let me know the kind of insults you'd be shouting at Astbury and I'll heckle for you by proxy.

Hom, simply come to the Leeds gig instead. Place to stay, raucousness aplenty, you know you want to.

Plans have altered slightly (by me and kinda R&R). The Shirts are playing Reading, kick-off at 5ish, so I'll be in whichever pub is showing it from then til t'end o't' game. Hopefully that means 'The Drydock from 5' but I'm yet to find out for sure.

A 'Best-Heckle-That-Rattles-Astbury-By-A-HeartLander' Competition is called for.

Right, well, how do you spell 'backtrack'?

I now WILL be playing cricket on the 23rd - once they'd finished laughing at me they told me I was playing. Hey ho, at least i get to wear my fetching whites once more, so i'll meet you all at the Uni in all likelihood, though i'l try like hell to get to the Drydock first (small matter of picking up my ticket off Norm for a kickoff). Jamie is now coming too, and I'll be meeting another mate (my ex no less) in the hall.

Anyone wanna borrow my Cult bandana?   :urff:

So this was Leffingeleuren festival..... 15 september 2006.
A small village with a great festival.
3.000 people max. to enjoy the festival.

Libby it was good to see the 2 of you and your friends over there.
It was a great day.
A day to remember.

Home at 4 o'clock in the morning.
Tired but feeling very good about the concert.
It is true that 1 hour and 15 minutes is too short for such a great band, but for a popfestival it is ok ===>>>......sometimes not...... :-)

The Cult...they rocked, loud and clear, it was to see they had some days off, but still I enjoyed it a lot, as to say better something than nothing !

Hope to see you soon !

That'll be me then, amongst others. And just to mess with my and everyone elses head, I'm NOT playing cricket now, so how's about Drydock for from 6 onwards. Footy may be on in there, may not, but hey, there's a night out to be had.

Recently watching...my old vids from Cologne and the Marquee in 91...still trying to work out whether i'm looking forward to the gig or not  Whatever ,it'll be a top night out. 8)

Must admit I love gigs at the Apollo, saw them in 89 there, but I guess in comparison the Uni gig will be 'intimate'. Which may go either way.

And yes, alright, I'm now well giddy. There has been some belting out Earth Mofo and whatnot at the top of my lungs to / from work. :P
