The Mumbles RETURN!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Looking at The Making Of...

I noticed: a) no pop-filter for the singer (buy one or make one from your ma's old stockings, it's very good when recording vocals) and b) going in the red while recording.

I also noticed: some nice young, very driven musicians, who dedicate a lot of time and effort on what they like best, eg music :notworthy:

Keep on going!

There is a "clip/pop remover" on Cool Edit Pro but it takes away from the vocals sometimes. Don't worry, I have followed your advice from before, you might be pleasantly surprised :)

Better to avoid noise beforehand than to muffle it away afterwards, I always say ;)

I will judge again when I heard the album ;D

I just re-read my own review on the first album... I was a bit harsh there, no? :innocent:

Well, you deserved it back then!

But from the five seconds or so I heard from 'Creep', the sound is already a lot better!

Just been watching the making of the album and I demand an mp3 of that song that goes "And I was outside clapping, clapping on the rooftops like thunder"... or at least the lyrics.

That song sounded... very good; your vocals on that song reminded me a bit of Brett Anderson's.

(rubs hands) Looking forward to this, bigtime.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

If they can record an album in a day, then that would make a two week hiatus proportionally equal to a 10 year strike.

Lemme guess, you get asked to download "To"?

Do so and renamed it "To Hell In Black.zip".

Worked for me, at least 8)
