Any opinions? I saw them do a couple of tunes on the Reading coverage on BBC3 last night. They kicked ass. Looking forward to hearing the album.

they were rather lame. But maybe they just aren't my cup of tea.

Have been listening to their CD whole weekend.
It has all the rock clichés, but it sounds so good!
You recognize Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Cream, Jethro Tull, ...
Can't get enough.
I think we're gonna hear from this band.

I'm glad somebody else other than Andi and me like it. I agree with all the above. Plus a bit of Deep Purple.libby wrote:Have been listening to their CD whole weekend.

they are very cliched and they'll never do a follow-up album to match this...but damn it Janet...there's an awful lot of hype with this band and that makes the experience seem forced...Hom_Corleone wrote:I'm glad somebody else other than Andi and me like it. Fortunately for me - I don't read the music press and I don't watch MTV, listen to Radio 1 or any other such bollox so I don't really get dragged into the hype. My only knowledge of them was on the Reading fest coverage.
However, I do agree - I listen to things like this and enjoy but it still doesn't send a tingle down my spine like the beginning of Temple did when I first heard it or Master Of Puppets. I keep expectantly hoping something is going to grab me but......
Maybe this is just the first sign of getting old, you start to be uninspired, then annoyed by anything raucous - ending in shouting up the stairs to your teenage kids..."WILL YOU SWITCH THAT NOISE OFF?"
Depressing.
