nightmare before christmas....

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

"Marilyn Manson, Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco are all featured on a special soundtrack album for the cult movie 'The Nightmare before Christmas'. A double CD to be released in mid-October. this sees original music and songs from the film interpreted by acts such as those mentioned."

good or bad idea???

I can see the first band do a nice interpretation, as they did a series of very interesting covers in the past, IMHO.

The other two can as well feck right off, again IMHO... They weren't even born when the movie came out, I guess...

I don't really understand the point. Are they rereleasing Nightmare Before Christmas with new music? Or is it just "music inspired by..."?

If there's one thing I've learned about Marilyn Manson, it's that when they cover a song, they do it well.

The original material leaves quite a bit to be desired, though.

I think it would be better for everyone if Marilyn Manson, Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco did only music for soundtracks to violent pornography.
Then anyone caught in possesion of any of their apalling cak could be banged up for three years....In the nonce wing for 23 hours a day with a large man with a handlebar mustache and a liking for violently anally raping stupid emo/faux-goth wankers.
Or something.

When adding their ages up, you have the average age of a Marilyn Manson band-member.

Crap!!!

The singer from Panic at the disco got knocked spark out at Reading festival by a bottle thrown from the crowd.
Full credit though, when he came round they carried on. I sure as hell wouldn't have.

you can see him going over here

Be careful!

A lot of damn fine bands looked not too dissimilar at one point in time.

They're probly still crap though.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Yeah... maybe they'll become the next Atomic Kitten as far as we know.

They certainly seem to develop a milk moustache as we speak...
