Answer me this.....

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

IF AE is so anti-goth and says that wearing black clothes was only a fad of his for a week why is every Sisters t-shirt in black?

Maybe he likes seeing his public dressed in black.

(Give me a freight train (of a tshirt) painted in the shiniest colours.)

maybe he likes being non-goth god above dressed-in-black goths

i've heard that he recorded Vision Thing wearing yellow pants
is that truth?

Wasn't there a white t-shirt that had "Reptile" printed on the back? I saw one of the trolls wearing one at the Munich Superbang gig in 93 - don't know if it was official merch, though. Maybe the idea is that black t-shirts denote fans and white ones indicate people who are supposed to be backstage?

I think this tour there was a STFU tee in white, though it apparently was rather limited :|

I'd prefer a white tee anyway, but you guessed that already I presume? Perhaps it's more comfortable indeed from inside the smoke to see one big black mass than a black mass with white spots in it

Well, conspiracies aside maybe it's just cause generally black t-shirts are more generically useable, and white print on black shirt looks better and is easier on the eyes. i can't imagine for example the head logo printed black on white, ugh.

I've got a white Birmingham NEC 92 T-Shirt and one of the grey Vision Thing T-Shirts with the embroidered head and star.

All the others are black though!

Non-black official Sisters shirts I can think of offhand:

Black October white short sleeve
Birmingham NEC 92 white s/s
VT allover print grey s/s with embroidered head&star
Stranger II ecru s/s (mine is now a fetching shade of pink after ending up in a red wash)
Replicant ecru s/s
Exxile white l/s (can't remember if there was also a s/s)
Yellow tour s/s - Trip The Light I think
Shut The f**k Up l/s (or hoodie - can't remember which)
People's Republic green girlie top
...and I think there may have been another green one but I might be imagining things.

I was reminded why I generally wear black shirts when I managed to get chocolate down the front my white Exxile shirt after only 15 minutes wear. When both Vanish and Stain Devil failed to remove the stain, I had to resort to soaking the affected area in a bucket of bleach.

I used to have that NEC92 white one, bloody ace until it disintegrated. My white Exxile top is still going strong though. White is good, but not as good as red.

White t-shirts do get dirty awfully quickly.

Especially ones with "bet24" on the front - stained with tears at the demise of a once great club

Sisters T-shirts look best with the er, "pre-loved" look, that is, grey where once black. s**t of 'em - about two dozen at the last count - from the "Tune In, Turn On, Burn Out", way up to Silver Bullet.

They also sold white Summer longsleeves at Eurorock 1998. Worn it a lot and it's still looking pretty good. The STFU one is a hoody indeed. I have only worn that one on a couple of occasions as I have never had a t-shirt that is made of such delicate fabric.
