When it comes to Chick Flicks, I dont really like them. But now and then the girl deep inside wants to have a brake from the mind frack movies. Im kinda opening up for a teasing here, but I would like to know what your fav chick flick movie is, if you have any.
Ok, here goes.... My chick flick I like to watch is... What Dreams May Come. I cant help myself, I think its so sad, and beautiful colors and settings.

Dunno if this constitutes a chick flick, but the film that always makes me cry is...Ice Age.
Fave film I've ever watched with a 'chick' - the remake of The Hills Have Eyes. A subtle and sensitive little tale if ever I've seen one. Said chick was in tears by the end too.

It's true. When the kid is whipped out in front of the Dad at the end, it must stir some deep paternal something or other in me. Far more than my actual bloody kids ever manage.Lynchfanatic wrote:AwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwPlanet Dave wrote:Dunno if this constitutes a chick flick, but the film that always makes me cry is...Ice Age.

Hmmmm, the closest has to be The Straight Story, but dont know if I would call that a chick flick though. And when it comes to sad is has to be The Elephant Man. I dont know about Inland Empire, but I highly doubt it, man Im looking forward to seeing that.Zuma wrote:Has Lynch made one yet?

A nice change from the increasingly boring - pseudo - political threads.

Anything with a bittersweet ending always gets me blubbing. I think Polyanna had the biggest effect, but that ain't really a chick flick is it?
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
Yep that's the one!Lynchfanatic wrote:Hmmmm, the closest has to be The Straight StoryZuma wrote:Has Lynch made one yet?
I'd also go with Jerry Maguire, and technically The Lord of the Rings Trilogy as well

God, of course...there's always a good half hours blubbing to be had at the end of that.Big Si wrote:and technically The Lord of the Rings Trilogy as well

Memoirs of a Geisha - my most recent favorite.
The Notebook.
Countless others.
(I especially enjoy the political and religious undertones found in many chick flicks! )
9 especially enjoys it when I cry during these films 'cause then he can hug me and laugh at me at the same time.b

I won't be crying during that. I'll be sat back with an amused smirk on my face watching you lot run around desperately trying to get some points of our reserves.Big Si wrote:And don't forget the beautiful game of fitba.....Planet Dave wrote:God, of course...there's always a good half hours blubbing to be had at the end of that.Big Si wrote:and technically The Lord of the Rings Trilogy as well

Debbie does Dallas, though it’s lost its political poignancy in recent times
