Go Figure

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Not HL itself. Good grief. No, nay, never!
Hm, on second reading, I guess that is a more logical reading. I hope that that is what James meant.
Z'acktly what I meant Martin, I believe Claire can testify to these shorter days, even with an unusually warm October. :|

Oh, don't stop the "go figure" repetition! That, and an unreasoningly virulent hatred of That Guitarist for having the temerity to go solo marks the average true Sisters fan!
Well, that and the lack of hair on head, or visible waistline.. :innocent:

I don't really get that one I must be honest. The guy played a mean guitar, and is/was always good for a giggle.

yeah, i agree (apart from the giggle - never met the man). not got a problem with him, apart from that i don't like his voice at all (i have similar feelings to Muse, love the music, hate the overblown theatrical voice...)

i also don't harbour illwill to one patricia morrison. what did she do wrong? :von: used her for image then got rid of her!

That piece of news made my day. :notworthy:

What did Patty do wrong? Mmmmh, in my opinion, the hairdo. It made ridiculous Ãœber-goths out of my once favourite band. After seeing the pompous "This Corrosion" vid I've dismissed them for being too "uncool".
Later when I got more superficial I thought Andy with a wet bare chest wasnt entirely a bad thing. :innocent:

yeah but you can still blame all that on the von, the whole floodland thing was entirely him (ish) so he signed up to all that.

when i first saw the corrosion vid i think i laughed so much, a small bit of wee may have come out. the whole thing may be a "joke" but he looks like he's taking it very seriously...

Oh, I adore the Huss! Every interview I've read of him makes him seem really likable. But the Hussey pot-shots rear their head everywhere The Sisters are mentioned, and not in any reasoned way. "His lyrics are crap" say a bunch of people who were discussing the great merits of the "bad world/smells funny/ buy another if it wasnt for the money" lyric from Vision Thing without a hint of irony!
A lot of Sisters fans just parrot Eldritch, and it's majorly tedious, hence people using ghastly Americanisms like "go figure" when they are old enough to know better! And lets not mention the "Uggh, Goths!" attitude.

As for Patty...Andy E wanted Patty, but Patty preferred Dave V, so Andy E got stroppy. :innocent:

I'd 'ave 'em both  ;D

*thinks*

Actually, these days, neither. Von's looking like the proprietor of a rather dodgy backstreet gay club, and Vanian's looking like Elvis post-leaving-building.

I think I'd rather sauté my own testicles than partake in McCoy's Doctor Who-then again most Doctor Who is Baboon Felched Jizzum :urff:

Indeed. At least we had a hilarious cameo from Hale & Pace to restore the story's credibility...
