Anyone got any suggestions for this topic
I'll start with one I actually own (which pains me to admit). The sleeve looks like is was drawn by Joey Deacon.....
Now that's what I call a crap album cover...

I don't think so just because this was no accident. They seem to try incredibly hard to be the worst, most despicable band on Earth. I'm not going to encourage that.canon docre wrote:this must surely win a price?
A deliberately ugly cover has very little value in my eyes.

oh come on Badlander, how should I know, that Manowars cover is not serious while Ice Ts is meant to be serious?
If I have to choose one from my own collection, it'll be this one:
@smiscandlon: I find them cute.

Top album.

And I've got it on vinyl so it's even bigger.

You actually have a copy of the album where that's the cover instead of the skulls? That's a rarity, considering it caused controversy and was therefore hidden in the center of the book for the majority of albums.canon docre wrote:oh come on Badlander, how should I know, that Manowars cover is not serious while Ice Ts is meant to be serious?

Us Rock n Roll Grannies (IZ and myself I mean) buy records before some pc-arsehole bans them.nick the stripper wrote:You actually have a copy of the album where that's the cover instead of the skulls? Kid's pictures are cute when taped to the fridge door, not on album covers.canon docre wrote:@smiscandlon: I find them cute.
I wouldn't want to watch a film made by a 5-year old. I wouldn't want to listen to an album mixed by a 5-year old. So why would I want to look at cover art drawn by a 5-year old?

The thing is, it's sometimes difficult to know which ones are supposed to be ridiculous and are done tongue-in-cheek, as opposed to ones that are done without the slightest hint of irony.Burn wrote:possible contender for a stupid album cover

This one is about as disgusting as the music inside:
Bad sleeves on music I do like: most of Genesis' cover-art is quite boring Not too fond of the Chameleons their sleeves either...

IZ.
Then we had to get all girly and innocent. We pretended to not understand the lyrics and got away with it. But how pissed they were.
