Now that's what I call a crap album cover...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

oh yeah. hihihi. we played Cop Killer in our car in LA to annoy the cops next to us (we didnt know that it was SUCH an issue over there).

Then we had to get all girly and innocent. We pretended to not understand the lyrics and got away with it. But how pissed they were. ;D

another one to file under : Great sounds, shocking sleeve :|
I love that one!

Crap sleeves for me are -

Floodland (disembodied heads I mean WTF? :| )

Should The World Fail To Fall Apart by The Murph. Looks like someone's just vomited on the cover... which is quite apt really, since the album sounds like he's eaten some Eno, Talking Heads, Shriekback and Pere Ubu and just spewed it out...
Image

DAF - Alles Ist Gut. One of my favourite albums, but the cover is... well. In a way it's so-bad-it's-good.
Image

Switchblade Symphony - Bread and Jam for Frances. All their album covers were dodgy photoshoppy cheapo nonsense, in keeping with the theme of Cleopatra records in general really.

So wrong it's good indeed. As is all their artwork :notworthy: (not to mention some of their songs)

I've always found this one shockingly bad in a "70s prog icon attempts to go 80's rock" way.
Image
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

"So what's the new LP called?"
"Vision Thing"

"And what's on the cover?"
"Well, I thought we might put an eye on it, cos it's, like, a thing that you, you know, use for vision..."

Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Edit: this one's in the "so bad it's good" category.

Well, about 10% by my reckoning  it averages out at 90%K when converted to greyscale...

Vision Thing - agreed, pish record, pish cover, IMO of course.

Alien Sex Fiend - Wrong, everything they've ever done is the best.......the finest.........the greatest.........the very bestist, including the Album Covers :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
