Nine Inch Nails - Performance 2007

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'll probably be tempted on the mainland somewhere.

I do find most of Mr R's live performances up to 2000 somewhat dire and irritating. Thankfully, two years to curb his narcotic/alcohol abuses and another three years to "get to the root of his behavioural problems" seems to have done the trick. The 2005 Fresno comeback gig is quite listenable. He seems quite happy and actually enjoying himself. He even (humbly) says "thank you" to the crowd four times.

Which is obviously an improvement on "f**k you pigs!".

I put on the 25/3/2005 bootleg a couple of nights ago but turned it off after a couple of minutes as I wasn't really in the mood. I'll have to give it another bash before I decide whether it'll be worth going.

Yeh, you have to be in the mood, but at least Trent has now learnt to play Hurt as Johnny Cash did.

If a lot of people want to go I'd be tempted to go for the meet, but I'll be giving the actual gig a wide berth, sorry. I'd only heckle my arse off and want to exterminate half the crowd.

Glasgow - who's going, when and where?

Looks like they are playing the Carling Academy on Wednesday, February 28 and Thursday, March 1.

Only tickets left for the 28th seem to be BALCONY UNRESERVED SEATING.

The 1st still has DOWNSTAIRS STANDING, UPPER STANDING, BALCONY UNRESERVED SEATING and BALCONY BOOTHS STANDING.

I guess that explains the queue outside the ticket-shop when I walked by this morning!

I might head along to the March 1st show - downstairs standing. I was once lumbered with a balcony ticket for Primal Scream at the Academy and it was terrible - sitting and rock gigs do not mix!

I know that feeling :?

I once had seats for a Rammstein gig. After two songs I hopped down to ask the moshpit if anyone was tired and fancied a seat... :)

The same for NIN, no standing tix, no gig!
