Any vocalists left out there ?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Hi guys, I've just joined this forum after being invited over from the Fields of the Nephilim one. Normally I would join in a few posts before posting a request straight off but I'm running out of time a bit here. Here is the post I placed over there . . .

Hi guys, my endless search goes on . . . we are looking for a strong, dynamic vocalist just like good old Carl McCoy or Bob White to finish our line up. We are a gothic rock band heavily influenced by FOTN and The Nephilim, playing dark, brooding, atmospheric, epic, occult inspired gothic rock in the traditional sense. We are ex pro musicians, aged in our early thirties with excellent equipment and a lot of material waiting to be finished off. We also have established links in the film industry with the option to work on more soundtracks in the future. For live and recording we use a Roland Fantom, Korg Triton, Korg M1 and a rack of outboard effects, samplers and drum modules etc. I am a 5 string bass player and we use a lot of delays and effects on the guitars. All we want is a Carl like figure to finish the line up with powerful vocals and a charismatic image. I am based near Southampton / Portsmouth and the guitarist travels in from Glastonbury area. We get together monthly for a 2 day session and use computers / sequencers to practise in between. Does anybody out there fit the bill ? If so are you even vaguely interested ? If so get in touch ! Now !

I'd be just as happy with an A E type singer. The reason for the urgency in the search is we are ex professional musicians and have industry contacts, some of which are open for a limited time only.

If anyone here truely has the ability to carry this off then please drop me a line.

thanks a lot

HL member Nazareth springs to mind. He didnt post here for a while, but he's a huge FOTN fan and has a band called Torquemada. Dunno if he's singing though.

He doesnt only look exactly like Carl McCoy, but also like Axl Rose at the same time. Isnt that something? :P

I'll try to get hold of him. Hopefully the HL-built-a-band-Service works better than the Dating Agency. :|

welcome razorbreed.

I can't sing for toffee, so that's one ruled out.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Hello Mr Razor.

You live in a lovely part of the UK. Shame I live in Leeds. But then I can't sing anyway so it doesn't matter.

Hope you find the man your looking for. 8)

Guys - thank you very much, I belong to different forums, under different names, all over the world and that is the warmest and quickest welcome ever ! Thanks for contacting nazareth on my behalf, we have had a quick chat and unfortunately he couldn't live any further away from me and still be in the same country ! Please bear me in mind if you should think of someone suitable and point them my way or me their's.

thanks a lot
