coming from a multi-cultural city (leicester) i'm afraid that it's not just celebrating the p*ss-poor regicidal antics of the 17th centuries answer to the shoe-bomber. it is diwali -hindu festival of lights- at the minute and the middle of ramadam. as long as people don't mind my dog biting them if they throw fireworks near her and as long as nobody minds me snapping their spinal column if they throw them within a square mile of my kid they don't bother me.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I just went to a firework display thing.. the bonfire didn't burn until we started to leave an hour or two after the fireworks stopped, but the pub was nice and cheap, so I wasn't complaining, and I'm still no'.

Guy Fawkes: The only man to enter the Houses of Parliament with honest intentions...
Thankfully we don't have Guy Fawke's here in Ireland. The holocaust has well died down now, and it's only the usual die hards (who are at it all year anyway) left now.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
They do in Ulster, and they burn effigies of Joseph Ratzingermh wrote:Thankfully we don't have Guy Fawke's here in Ireland. The holocaust has well died down now, and it's only the usual die hards (who are at it all year anyway) left now.
