Finally Ian's site disappeared.

The Black Alice webpage is gone too...
And I still miss the Back Planet website.
in dub we trust
Yeah I miss those too.
Seams all the good Sisters sites are fading away from us.
Don't think their is a single good resource still out there for Sisters boots for instance.
If only Robin could get his site sorted again...

I'm probably as guilty of being as apathetic to this as anyone else ... but pooling the resources and knowledge of Heartland could make the Sisters Wiki the definitive site for this sort of information...

Yes, you're right, there aren't many decent Sisters sites left, especially sites about bootleg-vinyl & cd's are hard to find...Nic wrote:Yeah I miss those too.

Yes, it is true that some of the sites are lost.
I also saw that there are some sites who look great at the first moment, but also are not updated for a long time.
That is a pity.
It is almost not to believe that somebody who made such a lot of work and spend such a lot of time in a website does not update it any more and after some time the site will be lost.
Offcourse I realize that it costs a lot of money to hold the site alive and on line.
Some times I wonder if it is not possible to find out who owns such a site.
And help somebody out incase the person in question does not want the site any more.
Maybe somebody else would like to take over the site or give a helping hand.......
And (maybe this question is ask in the past) why is there not here in the Heartland something like that ?
Just wondering.
I have put somethings in my space.
But it is just a start.
And I know "my space" is not the best way and place to make a site.
And yes, I did take somethings from other sites.
If it is yours (dear reader and owner) and you would like to have your (nick) name in the "thanks to" list then please send a PM here on Heartland to me.
You can take a look if you want.
http://mydominionnl.spaces.live.com
If you want you can leave a reaction. This would be nice.
Thanks in advance.
Also I would like to mention some sites that I visit sometimes to find information and other stuff.

So, that leaves us HL with a few actions:smiscandlon wrote:I'm probably as guilty of being as apathetic to this as anyone else ... but pooling the resources and knowledge of Heartland could make the Sisters Wiki the definitive site for this sort of information...
- can info of the above mentioned sites be fully recovered in digital format?
- action plan for filling up our http://www.sisterswiki.org/ by (a) systematically transferring information from these and other sites and (b) adding information of our own
Now, all we need is a project manager
I like these calm little moments before the storm. It reminds me of Beethoven. Can you hear it? It's like when you put your head to the grass and you can hear the growin' and you can hear the insects.

There's lots of bootleg info here: http://www.vamp.org/Gothic/Text/sisters-discog.html
you're right, totally forgot about that onerobertzombie wrote:There's lots of bootleg info here: http://www.vamp.org/Gothic/Text/sisters-discog.html
if that info would come in a database instead of an unreadable flat file, that would be great.
and i just noticed today that http://db.tsom.org is down as well. this is a black day in my internet experience

the best site about bootlegs is my own:
http://secondhanduzi.republika.pl/
but you should learn some polish
did you ever see "echo" cover:
