I´m still aching to get their 1/24 Spitfire..
And a Saab Viggen would be nice, too.
That´s the curse an aircraft fan is suffering from: If at all, he can only afford some plastic containers for his dreams, the real thing is out of reach.
Unless you have a good pile of money.

Marks & Spencer's Christmas range this year includes a very nice 1/34 Fokker DR1, and a Sopwith Camel.

When I was a cute little bastard, I had both of them by Revell in 1/28 scale.smiscandlon wrote:Marks & Spencer's Christmas range this year includes a very nice 1/34 Fokker DR1, and a Sopwith Camel.

They look nice on the shelf. I soon found out how to get the c.o.g. into the right place to let them do a stable glide.
Which is not what they were made for.
And they were gliding pretty fast.
So I stopped having them.

My long winter nights are already full up with beer. As I will be.
Nonetheless, this is good news. I appreciate models, but years of alcohol abuse have rendered my hands useless in such precise situations.
So to speak.

I think Hornby has started to stretch itself a bit too thin,it took over Lima a few years ago (after it failed).Yeah the shareprice is doing great but I think I would be keeping an eye out for someone high in their company ditching a lot of shares.Chances are all the people who worked for Airfix are still going to be out of a job as Hornby ships all the tooling to China.
Sorry, but that´s not a Spitfire, that´s clipped, clapped cropped.EvilBastard wrote:'s not Airfix, but...Kliquéeotunun wrote:I´m still aching to get their 1/24 Spitfire..
The elegant elisoid wing has to be complete!
A sleek, elegant aircraft the potential of which you already see when it´s standing.
Hey ,Tim, there is nothing a little bit of training can´t cure.

Being brave is coming home at 2am half drunk, smelling of perfume, climbing into bed, slapping the wife on the arse and saying,"right fatty, you're next!!"
